Special Steps for
uninstalling the USB EV2300 Drivers for Windows XP / 2000
- Please uninstall the drivers first.
- Go to Start Menu->Find(Search)->Files Or Folders.
- In the name field enter "*.inf" without the double quotes.
- In the "Containing Text" field enter "TIUpdatr.sys" without the
double quotes. On Windows XP this filed is called "Word or phrase in
file"
- In the "Look In" field enter "c:\windows\inf" where "c:\windows"
is your windows installation directory.
If you do not know your windows
installation directory run Cleanup.bat
(step 8 of uninstall) again and the window it opens will tell you
what the location of
the Windows Installation directory.
- Click on "Find Now"
- A list of files will be shown at the bottom.
- Double Click each file(It will open in Notepad)
- If the text at the top of the file reads "; TI Firmware Updater
Driver INF" then delete the file.
- Repeat step 3
- In the "Containing Text" field enter "TIbq80xx.sys" without the
double quotes.
- Repeat steps 5 to 8
- If the text at the top of the file reads "; TI bq80xx
Driver INF" then delete the file.

This information is provided for advanced users of Windows XP / Windows
2000 only.
- The EV2300 USB board ships with 2 drivers.
The "TI USB Firmware updater" driver is used during the bootup process
of the EV2300.
The "TI USB bq80xx Driver" is used by the end application.
- The "TI USB Firmware updater" driver lifetime is only a few
milliseconds, therefore it does not show up in Device Manager unless it
is improperly installed.
- Since uninstalling the "TI USB Firmware updater" is difficult, it
is recommended that the uninstall and install steps be performed
instead of the "Update Driver" from Device Manager.
