Table of Contents

Introduction

This CC33xx Linux Software Package delivers components that enable operation of the Texas Instruments CC33xx Wi-Fi and BLE family of wireless transceivers on Linux platforms.

This is version 1.0.0.6 of the CC33xx Linux Software Package

The version is a production quality release for 2.4/5Ghz devices

Previous release was 1.0.0.5

Release highlights

This is a release for TI’s CC33xx device supporting Wi-Fi 6 and BLE 5.4.

Components version:

Enhancement:

  1. Regulatory Domain handlings: Antenna gain and Trace Loss per regulatory constraints
  2. Regulatory Domain handlings for dual antenna (antenna diversity) and multi role
  3. 5GHz MIL (Maximum Input Level) improvement
  4. INI file update for FCC

Resolved Issues

  1. OSPREY_LDB-2160 - Wifi connection while Wifi scan and BLE data - Sometime fails
  2. OSPR_BLE_PHYFW-134 - Device get stuck after abort command is triggered and device is in TX state
  3. OSPR_BLE_PHYFW-135 - Device get stuck due to premature TX process
  4. OSPREY_LDB-2159 - Cancel event is wrongly triggered for a non sleep like power mode
  5. BLE_AGAMA-4939 - Device fails to stop previously enabled ADV/SCAN after received set parmas command
  6. OSPREY_LDB-1615 - Wi-Fi/BLE COEX: Instability observed in scenarios of Wi-Fi Multi-Role with BLE advertise

ID Summary
OSPREY_LDB-2124 MR STA/STA - Some instabilities observed on long duration traffic scenarios
OSPREY_LDB-2048 Power consumption: in 5Ghz band, DTIM 1 current is slightly higher then expected
OSPREY_LDB-1898 [COEX]: External coex - In some cases Wi-Fi connection time is very long during external activity
OSPREY_LDB-1880 TWT - Sometimes Wi-Fi throughput is lower than expected
OSPREY_LDB-1878 Link adaptation algorithm is not fully optimized
OSPREY_LDB-1779 Suspend: Does not work with kernel 6.1 and BBB
OSPREY_LDB-1727 IOP-STA - CC33xx connected to Buffalo AP sometimes sends PS polls every beacon
OSPREY_LDB-1700 Driver does not support iw power_save
OSPREY_LDB-1688 [COEX]: In some cases Wi-Fi scan fails to find AP during BLE data
OSPREY_LDB-1638 Some beacon-loss observed when setting LSI to 9 and running UDP RX traffic
OSPREY_LDB-1579 Interoperability: TP-Link Archer C60 AP sends unexpected deauthentication to CC33xx while idle
OSPREY_LDB-1264 IOP STA: Low RX TP with some APs
BLE_OSPREY-206 [Multi Connect] Peripheral (BlueZ Host) with Multiple Connections failed long duration stability test
